Rosacea before is not really recognized by people but since more and more adults are being afflicted with this condition, it is now considered a common skin disorder. More women have Rosacea but men also get this condition and they usually endure more strenuous symptoms when they break out.

Rosacea is a chronic condition wherein the skin becomes inflamed and red. Most likely the redness will occur on the forehead, nose and chin areas. The cheeks are also affected by Rosacea and this is the reason why some people assume that they are only sunburned or have acne.

The reasons why Rosacea occur cannot really be traced although there are ongoing studies to really find the triggers for this condition. Mostly, the people who are affected are women in their middle age years and are fair skinned. Some people mistakenly think that Rosacea is a bad form of Acne but this is not true. Acne and Rosacea are two different skin conditions. Once your diagnosed you should definiately start using proper rosacea skin care to help lessen the outbreak. Some people who think that they have acne take anti acne creams which can actually worsen the condition of the skin because of the ingredients present in anti acne creams. There are cases wherein Acne can occur because of the ongoing irritation of the skin.

It will be best not to assume what your skin condition is if you are not really sure, it would still be best to consult a dermatologist and once the condition is confirmed, seek treatment with a licensed dermatologist which specializes in treating Rosacea. Always remember that a good skin care routine might be recommended to make the Rosacea breakouts less frequent.
